A batch is one dated run of a course: this term’s evening Tally class, or the weekend coding group. Instione gives each batch a simple home where you plan it and keep it organised.
Set up a batch
Start from a course in your catalogue. Give the batch a code or name, start and end dates, a capacity and a delivery mode. Assign a lead instructor and, if needed, assistants, and choose a room from your room list. A batch has a status so you can tell planned, running and finished batches apart at a glance.
Generate the class sessions
Instead of typing every class into a timetable, set the batch’s weekly pattern, for example Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Instione then generates the individual class sessions for the term. You can still add a one-off session, reschedule one class or cancel it, and the rest of the schedule is left alone.
Avoid double booking
When you schedule a session, Instione checks whether the same instructor or room is already booked at that time and warns you. It is a simple overlap check rather than a full timetable engine, which is what most institutes need: a quick heads-up before the clash reaches students.
Track what was taught
Mark which syllabus topics a session covered. Over time this gives you a progress figure for the batch against the planned syllabus.
Where it leads
A batch is what students join. Once it exists you can enrol students, and the batch capacity is respected when you do. If you are a tuition or coaching business with many small groups, see how Instione fits coaching centres.
A batch also records its delivery mode, so you can tell classroom, online and mixed groups apart when you plan the week. Keeping all of this in one place replaces the wall chart and the shared spreadsheet that usually go out of date by the second week.
Attendance marking is on the roadmap and is not part of this page’s shipped features.
